Nonsurgical and surgical procedures
Nonsurgical procedures are typically performed in-office, including:
- Nonsurgical fracture management (casting, splinting)
- Preoperative and postoperative care for surgically treated conditions
- Joint aspiration (removal of fluid)
- Fluoroscopic guided joint injections
- Corticosteroid (“cortisone”) injections for overuse conditions, tendonitis, and bursitis
Surgical procedures are performed in the operating room, including:
- Arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, and ankle disorders
- Treatment of knee ligament and meniscal injuries including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
- Treatment of degenerative knee arthritis (arthroscopic debridement; total knee replacement)
- Shoulder surgery including rotator cuff repair and treatment of biceps and labral tears
- Upper extremity surgery to include carpal tunnel release, treatment of trigger finger and thumb, and de Quervain’s release
- Ankle surgery including fracture fixation, instability repair
- Joint manipulation under anesthesia
- Surgical treatment of fractures and dislocations
